In an increasingly complex and fast-moving economic environment, Haydock Finance is distinguishing itself as a market leader in structuring and executing large, high-value finance deals. With a noticeable increase in transactions exceeding £500,000 over the past year, Haydock’s combination of deep sector knowledge, agile underwriting, and trusted broker partnerships is driving a new benchmark in deal-making.

The growing appetite for large deals has been fuelled by Haydock’s strong commercial credit appetite and its ability to deliver funding solutions at speed. A significant portion of this growth has come from refinance transactions, with many businesses looking to consolidate debt, strengthen cashflows, and retain liquidity amidst modest economic expansion. Rather than focusing on asset replacement, today's businesses require strategic, creative funding—something Haydock is uniquely positioned to provide.

Recent transactions highlight this expertise in action. In one case, a regional taxi operator needed to consolidate several high-cost agreements before the next round of direct debits. The business operated with a modest profit margin and a complex structure involving overseas entities. Haydock responded with urgency and precision, delivering a £1 million Structured & Hire Purchase facility over 36 months. This allowed the operator to settle expensive HP and unsecured loans and reduce monthly outgoings from £90,000 to just £33,000, significantly easing cashflow pressures. A short-notice site meeting, swift asset inspections, and interdepartmental coordination ensured that the transaction was completed quickly, with the broker and customer praising Haydock’s responsiveness and hands-on approach.

Haydock has invested heavily in internal processes to meet the rising demand for large, complex deals. By increasing automation and removing unnecessary checks, completions are now faster than ever. A specialist end-to-end team handles large transactions, ensuring smooth execution across multi-asset portfolios. Operational and credit staff are aligned around these high-value opportunities, and a strong focus on internal training and accreditation has built a deep well of sector-specific knowledge that continues to enhance the customer and broker experience.

“Today’s market demands more than off-the-shelf finance,” said Jon Hercman, Head of Specialist at Haydock Finance. “Businesses need agile partners who understand complexity and can move fast. Our ability to structure high-value deals with clarity, speed and collaboration sets us apart—and the trust we’ve earned from our brokers is a testament to that.”

Large and time-sensitive transactions require a high degree of trust, collaboration and transparency. The strength of Haydock’s broker relationships therefore plays a fundamental role in building a mutual confidence which is developed through consistent delivery and shared success.

In April, Haydock held two forum events to bring together their specialist ‘large deal’ team with broker partners who have an appetite for £500k+ transactions.  The event was designed to provide insight into the level of expertise and support the team can provide, from proposal submission, through to payout. To facilitate the discussion, completed deal case studies were also shared as examples of commerciality, marginal covenant and speed of competition.

Jemma Cleverly, MD of Equipment Finance Wales, who attended the London forum, comments, “It was an informative event and a great opportunity to meet the specialist team. Listening to some of the case studies and then discussing with the team and other broker attendees has given me a lot to think about.”
