Haydock Continues Support for Rising Road Racing Talent Harley Rushton
Haydock Finance has confirmed its continued support for North Yorkshire road racer Harley Rushton as part of the company’s employee-led charity initiative.
The Blackburn-based asset finance specialist first supported Rushton through its staff nomination scheme, which enables employees to champion people who are pursuing meaningful goals. The partnership has continued to grow as Rushton has progressed in one of the world’s most demanding forms of motorsport, road racing.
During the Manx Grand Prix in 2025, Rushton delivered a standout performance on the legendary Isle of Man TT Mountain Course, achieving a sixth-place finish in the Supertwin class and setting the fastest lap of the race on his debut aboard modern machinery. The ride also secured a new Supertwin lap record, highlighting the impact of the support network behind him.
For Haydock Finance, supporting Rushton reflects the organisation’s broader commitment to investing in people and communities beyond its core business operations.
Lea Lawrence, Head of Marketing at Haydock Finance, said “Through our employee-led charity scheme we’re able to support individuals who show real passion and determination in what they do. Harley’s commitment to his sport, combined with the challenges of road racing at the highest level, made him a natural choice for support from our team. Seeing him achieve a lap record at the Manx Grand Prix was a fantastic moment for everyone involved.”
Haydock’s contribution has helped Rushton access the equipment, resources and preparation needed to compete safely and professionally at some of the most challenging road racing events in the world.
Looking ahead to 2026, Haydock Finance will continue its backing as Rushton expands his racing programme across both modern and classic machinery. His plans include stepping up to a Supersport 600 machine as he targets the prestigious Senior Manx Grand Prix trophy, while also returning to the Supertwin category at the Manx Grand Prix.
In addition to his modern racing commitments, Rushton will compete in several historic road racing events with Craven Classic Racing, including appearances at the Pre-TT Classic Races and the Classic TT, where he will race Classic machinery against some of the best riders in the discipline.
Rushton comments “The support from Haydock Finance has been incredibly important in allowing me to compete at this level. Road racing requires huge commitment, preparation and resources, and having a company that believes in what you’re doing makes a real difference. I’m proud to represent them as I take on new challenges in 2026.”
