Haydock Finance has today announced a leadership succession plan as the business continues to build on a period of strong growth and transformation. After seven years with the company, John Jenkins has announced his retirement from the role of Chief Executive.

Andy Taylor and Lee Pearson have been appointed by the Board to jointly lead Haydock as it moves into its next growth phase. Their appointments, which take effect from 30 March, reflect the strength of Haydock’s leadership team and the company’s continued service-led commitment to the asset finance market. As part of the succession plan, John will spend the coming months supporting a smooth leadership transition before departing at the end of June.

Andy will take on the role of Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer, focusing on commercial strategy and taking responsibility for all activities supporting origination. Lee will be appointed Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, with his remit expanding to include Risk alongside Operations, HR, IT, Change and Finance. Both will report directly to the Board.

During John’s tenure, Haydock has strengthened its market position, expanded its capabilities and built a high-performing team to support the business’s long-term ambitions. Together, Andy and Lee will build on Haydock’s strong foundations, continuing to drive innovation, customer service and sustainable growth across the business.

John Jenkins commented, “The past seven years have been some of the most enjoyable and rewarding of my career. We have built a fantastic team and driven transformation and growth. I am delighted to be handing on to Andy and Lee and certain they will lead the business to continued success.”

Andy Taylor added, “Lee and I are taking the business on in great shape and ready to drive the next phase of growth. Jointly leading the business plays to both of our strengths and allows each of us to focus our efforts where we can have most impact. Huge thanks to John for all he has done and our best wishes for the future.”
